In the Alaskan Essences family, we encounter the gentle yet transformative energies of the flower essences, along with the stabilising qualities of the gem elixirs. These are augmented by the catalytic and cleansing properties of the environmental essences, which complete the Alaskan three-fold system of vibrational healing. If used together, the flower, gem, and environmental essences create a supportive network in which emotional change and personal development can be supported and encouraged.
Environmental Essences are not only powerful catalysts to help us shift negative, toxic, or outdated energies and emotional processes; they also offer us the opportunity to connect with the spirit of a place and experience its own unique vibrations. One such environmental essence in the Alaskan Essences family is Augustine Volcano, which was created during multiple eruptions of Mount Augustine over a four-day period.
Mount Augustine has actually formed its own island, found in Cook Inlet in south-central Alaska, USA. Augustine Island is uninhabited, and has been formed through the layering of different eras of volcanic activity. As such, it holds a sense of primordial and ancestral energies, and embodies the Earth’s geological history of change.
As an environmental essence, Augustine Volcano helps us to identify and shift emotions and energies which may have lain dormant or unexpressed for some time. Such stagnation is not healthy for us, particularly when those emotions literally “bubble under the surface” and are kept in a tenuous check — often they influence our relationships with others, as well as ourselves, and also our decision-making and intuitive processes. Augustine Volcano helps us to release these emotions and energies in a positive way.
If we think about how Mother Earth shifts and changes, we can see how earthquakes and volcanic events alter the geology of the planet. Translating that to our own energy systems and bodies, we can then appreciate how Augustine Volcano helps us undergo the change process — surrendering to that process, in terms of working with the emotions and energies involved, then releasing those to allow for substantial shifts and transitions in our lives.
But what if we feel completely stuck and exhausted? When we literally have no energy or drive to accomplish a task? Well, Augustine Volcano is also appropriate for such moments of lethargy — breaking through those stuck periods with an explosion of power and enthusiasm. As such, this essence can help us break through the haze of hopelessness, enabling us to rethink and reframe situations and feelings, and find the hope deep within.
Augustine Volcano’s message is that change does not necessarily mean negative results. Change can be healthy and appropriate, and even needed, particularly when we find ourselves stuck or battling with toxic thought processes or emotional states. Much like Mother Earth re-arranging Her internal “furniture”, Augustine Volcano empowers us in viewing deep internal shifts as beneficial, no matter their intensity, as we shake off the aspects of ourselves which no longer serve us. We can then move into more fertile and spacious areas of ourselves, opening up to allow new energy and states of grace to enter in.
